The latest Wallas 30GB 3.2kw heater ‘ticks all the boxes’; it’s fuel and power efficient, quiet when running and reliable says UK importer and distributor, Kuranda.

General manager, Darren Griffiths, comments: “Our new 30GB offers increased heating power and more air volume for boat owners. More heating power means your boat warms faster, saving power and fuel, and with power usage between 1.0 -2.0A this will keep battery usage to a minimum. In addition, it only uses 0.1 - 0.33 l/h of fuel making it extremely economical to run from a 12V leisure battery.”

Powerful brushless blower motors give higher heater efficiency and better moisture management (important for wet conditions), and improving upon the features of the previous 30Dt model, the 30GB moves more air, improving ventilation and fresh-air flow.

Ultra-low emissions

A new laminar flow burner keeps noise to a minimum and ensures ultra-low emissions, including CO2 and NOx levels.

The 30GB is designed to work with today’s road and boat diesel (EN590) and future renewable (HVO 15940) and blended (B10 EN 16734, B20/B30 EN 16709) bio road diesel. It’s constructed with renewable and recycled materials, improving durability and reliability, and features stainless steel, high-grade aluminium and other corrosion resistant materials.

A LED-illuminated control panel has a delayed start/stop feature protecting the system from accidental activation and it can be either flush or bezel mounted, while retaining its thermostatic sensing capability.

There’s also a remote control option, enabling users to heat up their boats remotely via a computer, touch screen mobile phone or tablet.

Darren concludes: “As with everything in the marine sector, technology is constantly evolving and this is clearly evident in the new Wallas system. Buyers appreciate having a remote control option and equally applaud a system that’s compatible with fuels being developed for the future.”
