AquaSpec releases new range of LED lights
Aqua spec, manufacturers of lifejacket lights, has extended its product range to include an LED lifejacket, liferaft, lifebuoy and signal lights.
Known for its SOLAS marine safety lights, the new range comprises the AQ8A lifejacket light, AQLRL liferaft light, AQLBL lithium lifebuoy light, AQLBA alkaline lifebuoy light and AQFLA Morse Signal torch.
All products hold the necessary approvals, including MED certification, ISO24408, SOLAS and IMO Res MSC 81(70). They have a five-year shelf-life and share characteristics such as powerful and efficient white LED light, automatic water activation (where relevant) and manual on/off switch.
40 hours of operation
In 1998 AquaSpec launched the small AQ98 lifejacket light, before releasing its AQ40 range. These lights offer more than 40 hours of continuous operation, five times longer than the eight-hour SOLAS minimum standard, as well as more than 2.5cd of illumination after eight hours of continuous use, three times longer than the 0.75cd SOLAS minimum standard.
The new range complements AquaSpec’s existing AQ40 lifejacket lights; all are available from Ocean Safety.
