Ocean Signal expands European distributor network
Ocean Signal has expanded its European reach with the addition of new distributors in Germany and Norway.
Nordwest-Funk GmbH will act as the company’s new distributor in Germany with IEC Telecom AS taking on the role in Norway.
"It was great to confirm the expansion of our European distributor network at the show. We are feeling very optimistic about the year ahead," said James Hewitt, sales and marketing manager, Ocean Signal.
The UK communications firm also reported a very positive reaction at METSTRADE to the launch of its latest product the new ATB1 AIS Transponder.
“Everyone was very interested in the features and innovations incorporated in the development of both the ATB1 Class B and ATA100 Class A devices and we look forward to introducing them to the market in 2018,” said Mr Hewitt.
Ocean Signal’s powerful Class B device incorporates the superior SOTDMA technology and 5W output power.
The company also introduced the ATA100 Class A AIS Transponder for the first time at METSTRADE, which is a combined SOLAS and Inland approved solution with a 7-inch high-intensity, full-colour, rapid-response LCD and the only Class A AIS transponder available rated to the IPX7 waterproofing standard.
