Survitec supplies Crewsavers for French SAR
Survitec has supplied French search and rescue organisation Les Sauveteurs en Mer (SNSM) with 2,000 bespoke Crewsaver lifejackets.
Successful contracts with the UK’s Royal National Lifeboat Institute and the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution were instrumental in securing the significant deal with the French organisation.
Safety and comfort
Benjamin Serfati, purchasing director at SNSM explained that personal protection is key. “We had only one concern throughout this project – the safety and comfort of our rescuers,” he said
Survitec’s sales director, David Duffin, spoke of the company’s excitement to be working with a highly respected search and rescue organisation. “It is a great endorsement of our equipment that an international body such as the SNSM, which requires the very best for its rescue volunteers, would seek us out.”
The lifejackets are equipped with a high specification twin-chamber bladder design and cover which moulds to the shape of the wearer. They feature a newly designed slim-click fastening buckle, built-in hood, AIS attachment point, safety knife pocket and a built-in Crewsaver surface lifejacket light and buddy line.
