SAPRO poo pump and processor

Industry Database

Vetus Den Ouden has introduced a powerful stand alone macerator pump and waste processor to give boat owners the option of using a standard domestic toilet on board, rather than having to install a marine toilet.

In addition to dealing with toilet slurry, the SAPRO can also collect waste from a variety of other installations on board, such as sinks and showers, and disperse the waste either into a holding tank, or directly overboard, where permitted.

SAPRO is based around a powerful 400 Watt electric macerator motor which drives the cutting knife and discharge pump.

The main inlet connection is suitable for a standard domestic toilet of 4 inches (102mm) diameter. There are three additional inlet connections of 32, 38 and 40mm diameter.

After flushing, the SAPRO unit collects the waste and then - powerfully and silently, says Vetus - macerates and pumps it through a 1inch (25mm) outlet and hose.

The system has been designed to handle larger waste and could, they say, easily deal with something like a bar of soap, which may accidentally fall into the bowl.

Available for 12 or 24 volt DC power and for 110 or 230 volt AC;

nominal power consumption 400 Watts;

dimensions 428mm length x 120mm width x 362mm height; maximum length of hose connection from toilet to SAPRO is 5m; maximum length of hose between SAPRO and holding tank is 11 m. SAPRO is priced at £ 676.80 inc VAT Vetus Den Ouden T: 02380 861033. F: 02380 663142 E: sales@vetus.co.uk W: vetus.co.uk
