Wavebrite system prevents grey water discharge
Wave International’s Wavebrite grey water system has been chosen by marina operator MDL to process overboard waste water from its Ocean Village Marina floating office.
The system is designed to remove contaminants from grey water before it is discharged overboard using Wavebrite’s four stage filtration media system, eliminating the requirement for holding tanks and associated hose connections valves and pumps.
“The Wavebrite system is an excellent solution to the problem of grey water discharge into the marine environment,” said Oliver Witt, MDL project manager. “The compact system is a key part of ensuring the Ocean Village floating office is a sustainable and functional space that contributes towards MDL’s ongoing commitment of sustainability and environmental awareness.”
The system is supplied as a kit with all components required for simple installation in any vessel, floating office or live aboard.
“This is a valued approval of the system and reflects the need to keep our seas, oceans and inland waterways clean,” added Wave’s Paul Gullet.
The system was supplied by Halyard Marine.
