New digital online organiser for boat owners

Insurance provider GJW Direct has launched a new website, aptly named MyBoat, designed to assist with the organisational side of boat ownership by storing all necessary documentation in one place.
“There is a considerable amount of administration involved in staying seaworthy and safe, whether it’s getting your engine serviced, checking your fire extinguisher or buoyancy aids,” said GJW Direct CEO, Lev Osman. “MyBoat’s there to make life easier and help make sure it happens.”
MyBoat allows boat owners to create a free account, add multiple vessels and set reminders to get automatic notifications when any certification is due to run out.
Other relevant information that can also be logged on the site includes; safety equipment service dates, insurance deadlines, berthing renewals, running costs - including an option to upload receipts - and maintenance notifications.
It also includes a weather and tides feature that can be personalised to an individual’s location.
MyBoat can be used by anyone, regardless of who provides their insurance, however GJW customers who sign up will also have access to exclusive boating discounts on subscriptions, equipment and a range of other recognised marine brands, plus advice on life on and around the water.
