Lewmar glass features in top newbuilds
Sunseeker’s 74 Sport Yacht is to feature an electric-powered Lewmar sunroof to maximise ventilation at the helm station.
Both the 74 Sport Yacht and the newly launched Princess P70 are fitted with the latest generation of Lewmar’s flush integrated in hull 'Superping' portlights.
Supplying the ports pre-installed onto the curved hull glass enables the yard to save valuable fitting time and guarantees watertight integrity as each assembly is water tested at Lewmar prior to despatch.
These portlights from the marine glazing supplier feature cast stainless hinges and handles complete with soft touch inserts.
The new Prestige 680 S feature a hybrid aluminium and stainless patio door with powered drop window. This door is being produced on Lewmar's recently commissioned patio door production line along with doors for Leopard Catamarans and Bavaria.
Lewmar’s glass is also being used in X-Yachts’ vessels.
From its beginnings back in 2015, Lewmar’s glass division has grown to an annual output of over £5m, supported by 80 direct staff working on a 24/7 shift pattern.
The company has recently invested in a second 1440DPI digital frit printer and a fourth CNC grinder.
