Smart Lighting from Lumishore
LED lighting systems manufacturer, Lumishore, has introduced a new Smart Lighting product line with tunable colour and white light.
Lights can be controlled from the boat’s multi-function display (MFD) or a smart device and include underwater lights, marine-grade CRBGW downlights, mood lighting and IP68 strip lights and accent lighting.
“Lumishore is not only creating the finest LED lighting solutions on the market, we are also creating the atmosphere,” said Eifrion Evans, chief executive of Lumishore.
“As boats become more and more integrated, owners are looking for the same level of flexibility and value from their on-the-water lighting and entertainment systems as they get from the systems they have in their homes.”
The LED lights come in cold or warm white as well as red, green and blue are compatible with third-party products such as name boards and entertainment systems.
The system connects via Ethernet cable, does not use NMEA bandwidth and can be upgraded with an SD card.Lumishore’s MFD partners include Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad and B&G, with others to follow.
The interface panel has a palette wheel for colour selection, horizontal slide bar for adjustments to lighting intensity, optional presets and the ability to choose from pre-programmed effect modes like strobe, sweep or cycle.
There is also a ‘Sound-to-Light’ mode which pulses lights to the beat of any song currently playing on the MFD’s built-in media player.
Suitable for all marine 12 or 24-volt systems, the Lumishore Smart Lights are EMC compliant and IP67 rated.
