Trend Marine supplies doors for ‘Home’
Trend Marine Products has completed a project to supply entrance doors for the hybrid yacht Home, formerly Heesen Project 17850.
The turnkey project for the 49.8m vessel, built by Heesen Yachts, incorporated four-pane doors on the main and bridge deck and a three-pane sliding side door. All doors are electrically powered with a Trend in-house control system equipped with inflatable seals and PIR detectors.
Trend manged the entire project, from first-concept design to installation and commissioning.
Safe operation of the doors was a key objective for the team. The doors are fully operational under extreme motion and integrated with the yacht’s onboard fire system.
The team also focussed on fit and finish with lightweight glass and isolation from exterior noise.
Class approval was obtained.
Home was presented the Rina green award for the ‘most environmentally-friendly luxury vessel’ displayed at the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show and the ‘most innovative yacht’ prize at the World Yacht Trophies in Cannes 2017.
