Timage has launched a new range of anti-glare lighting.

The collection encompasses ceiling spotlights, wall lights and feature lights featuring >90 CRI in 3W to 6.5W LED outputs. The LEDs are recessed deep within the fitting so that glare is minimised and all have IP65 ratings and multiple lens angles enabling fitting anywhere on board.

“Lighting can make or break an interior scheme,” explained Oliver Lanza of Timage.

Bespoke lighting design

Photometric data can be provided on request and a new light plan service is now available directly from Timage. As an extra service aimed specifically at boat builders, the company can develop a lighting plan early in a new model’s development stage using the photometric data of the light fittings.

“The plan will approach the lighting both from a technical and aesthetical standpoint, ensuring that the lighting design works well with the interior scheme,” added Oliver.

“The beauty of this sort of approach is that boatbuilders can be sure to get the lighting just right at a conceptual stage, with the perfect levels of light and number of fittings being used."

Keeping audiophiles happy

This year also sees the cementing of Timage’s ongoing partnership with US lifestyle product manufacturer, Rockford Fosgate and British audio firm, Bowers & Wilkins, to offer quality onboard sound systems for yachts.

“Working together with a builder at the design stage of a project offers the best opportunity to get the set-up right both internally and externally,” said Oliver.

“Using the finest marine-grade equipment on the market, the end result is a balanced and powerful system, firmly placing the application in the 21st century and keeping the smartphone lovers and audiophiles happy alike."
