Business will triple in size over next three years
Marine services company Landau UK is celebrating its 25th anniversary with plans to triple the size of its business over the next three years.
The growth will be on the commercial and leisure OEM side said CEO Ben Metcalf with existing services expanded and bought in-house.
“We’re moving more into the labour placement market,” he said. “We already have 40 carpenters working in boatbuilders and are planning on having 60 by Christmas.
“We’re expanding our existing services to include fabrication, hydraulics and more complex blasting and have plans to move to larger premises with in-house lifting facilities.”
The increased workforce will also include more project managers enabling Landau to provide a turnkey solution for businesses.
“On the commercial side we will have more tenders going out, particularly public sector and MOD contracts, however we want to make sure we expand the business in a stable way,” said Ben. “Our turnover is almost £3m at the moment and we want to expand it to between £6m to £8m. We want to retain the family feel of the business.”
He added: “It’s been a phenomenal 25 years for Landau UK, from setting up the company in a bedroom in Whiteley to our state-of-the art facilities in the prestigious Swanwick Marina.
From our initial contract with Princess to launching the commercial arm of the business in 2014 and our contract with the MOD / Babcock, we’ve seen enormous growth.”
