Energy Solutions buys E-Plex
Energy Solutions which, this morning, announced David Payne of Electrical Resource Power Management will be representing the company, followed that up by announcing this afternoon it had bought E-Plex.
PURCHASE: Energy Solutions has completed the purchase of the E-Plex Multiplexing business from Florida-based ED&D Technologies. The business includes all stock, technology and goodwill as of July 21, 2010.
Energy Solutions says it has grown over the last 15 years into a considerable product developer, manufacturer and distributor of power and electronic systems to the marine, vehicle and industrial markets.
The company is Europe’s largest E-Plex value-added reseller and has been providing E-Plex solutions to a wide range of customers in the UK.
‘E-Plex is the most complete multiplexing product on the market with over 50 separate modules,’ said MD Paul Holland. ‘It provides a cutting edge point of difference for the businesses we supply it into and our R&D team is excited at being able to take that further.’
Energy Solutions will be maintaining product supply to all existing worldwide distributors of the product, and is looking to continue product development and improvements with their seven person R&D team.
‘We have no intention of standing still with the technology,’ said Mr Holland. ‘We aim to take it forward to meet the demands of the worldwide distribution network and their customers.’
The purchase of E-Plex will increase the Rochester, Kent, based company’s turnover by 34% and increase their levels of exports by 78%.
