Air Sea Land Group, manufacturers of bespoke lightweight ballistic and blast protection, have moved to a new, larger factory and taken on five additional staff.

The group is also establishing a new maritime division.

The new factory is in Rookely, Isle of Wight and is a third bigger than the previous site in Merstone.

“This is a really exciting time for ASL GRP,” said Jonathon Diffey, founder and MD. “We have made significant progress within the marine industry and the past year has been a game changer for us."

Exceed requirements

“The new facility and recent recruitment drive gives us a more streamlined production process, ensuring we can meet and exceed the requirements and expectations of all our clients.”

The company, whose work includes ballistic protection solutions for a range of vessels including superyachts, crew boats, RIBS, tenders and patrol boats, says it has an ever-growing order book and also has plans for further developments in 2020.

Work includes designing, manufacturing and installing armour systems onto bridge decks, clad crew areas and protection for consoles.
