RESCUE: On Monday this week, the RNLI’s Lizard lifeboat went to help a 50 year old fisherman with an injured hand on a French trawler.

The crew dressed the man’s hand and then transferred him to Falmouth for further treatment.

BB is very impressed that Dr Julia Read – a Ukip MEP for the south west (and an RNLI member), was “appalled and incensed’ that the EU promptly put out a tweet claiming the rescue was some kind of EU-inspired cross border co-operation.
