Ian is BM president elect
Ian Cooke has been voted in as British Marine’s next president elect.
Ian, MD and owner of C-Quip, will take up his new role in July when Greg Munford, Richardsons Leisure MD will take the position of president and David Pougher the role of immediate past president.
“I am immensely proud to have been appointed president elect and treat the opportunity as a great honour,” said Ian. “I have very much appreciated the opportunity to work with David Pougher as President, the existing board of directors and the team at Marine House. It has been an inspirational period of learning for me.”
Ian, who began sailing as a child, studied at Warsash Maritime College before working on private yachts. He joined C-Quip Marine Equipment in 1998 and now owns and runs the business alongside Onward Trading and other marine companies.
He has been involved with British Marine for many years including serving as chairman and on the boat shows board.
