PSP SBS FOOTBALL: Matchtech 1 beat Peters and May 4‐2 in the 5-a-Side Football final on 18 September to retain the Marine Advertising Agency (MAA) trophy.
The competition, in aid of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and G4 Surgery at Southampton General Hospital, included a team made up of medical staff from PICU, and was held at Goals in Southampton.
The other teams to qualify for the overall Cup Phase were Sunseeker and a second team from Matchtech.
Ocean Safety was awarded the Plate trophy after beating PSP Logistics in the final of the group of six, which didn’t make it through to the Cup Phase. Other teams taking part in the Plate Phase included IPC Media, City College Southampton and the MAA team.
The most prolific goal scorers in the Division Phase were the boys in black, Sunseeker, with 18 goals in just four games.

“It was great to see so many people turn out to play in aid of such an important cause,” he added. “There was plenty of friendly rivalry, which made for an exciting competition and I’d like to thank everyone who took part for making it an enjoyable and successful evening.”
