Safety equipment supplier Ocean Safety, has been appointed a UK distributor for LineLauncher.

The product, developed in New Zealand, propels a rope and flotation device up to 100m to either recover a person or to transfer goods or a heavy-duty tow/rescue rope.

The LineLauncher is powered by a 16g CO2 cylinder and when activated propels a hi-vis floating polypropylene rope and flotation device up to 80m.

It weighs 3.5kg, is 0.8m in length and can be used in any situation where a line needs to be launched from vessel to vessel, vessel to shore or shore to vessel including vertical launches.

It can be re-armed and re-used after the cylinder is spent.
