Q-Marine appoints Hypro Marine as UK distributor
Hypro Marine has been appointed distributor of Q-Marine’s Q-SPD surface drive systems.
Hypro Marine’s core business is designing and manufacturing hydraulic/electronic steering for organisations including Sunseeker and the RNLI.
“We are extremely excited about working with Leigh and his team at Q-Marine and we have put together a very strong engineering team that is looking forward to applying and supporting the Q-SPD surface drive systems in the UK,” said Hypro Marine’s MD, Steve Clarke.
Hypro steering systems are the highest quality and robust option on the market, explained Q-Marine’s MD Leigh Michau, who added that Q-SPD integrates Hypro steering systems as standard on all propulsion packages.
“The Hypro steering system is world class,” he said. “Steve and myself have developed a great working relationship so it felt natural to appoint Hypro Marine as our distributor for the UK.”
Q-Marine International is based in Auckland, New Zealand and designs and manufactures Q-SPD surface drive systems for pleasure and commercial boat markets.
The Q-SPD surface propulsion system was developed in 2001 to increase performance and improve efficiency.
Hypro Marine has been specifying and supplying manual and power assisted hydraulic steering systems to the marine industry for 30 years and during this time has evolved and developed its own product range.
