TruDesign teams with Meridian Zero
Meridian Zero Distribution has taken on marine composite fittings company TruDesign.
Meridian stock a comprehensive range of composite ball valves, skin fittings, hose tails and other connectors, from 0.5in to 2in BSP.
Sales director Gordon Sanders explained the decision to go with composite, rather than bronze or DZR products: “Composite is the future. No electrolytic or galvanic corrosion, no bonding, no lubrication,” he said. “Why wouldn’t you use it? Bronze is fine, but expensive, and at the end of the day it’s still a metal under water. As for DZR, we’re not over-happy with it, given it still has over 30% zinc.”
