Frank Anderson, Partner, Dr J H Burgoyne & Partners LLP will look at the scientific method for approaching fire investigations on-board vessels.
11.10 MARSHALL ISLANDS REGISTRY
Rene van der Voort, Safety & Technical Manager, Yachts will give a brief explanation of registration with the Marshall Islands including the Pre-Registration inspection.
12.00 RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN UNDER RCD II
Maria Garcia-Donaire, Technical Manager, Marine Services, HPI Verification Services Ltd will look at the changes and their effects in RCD II
14.00 BEST PRACTICE FOR EFFECTING GRP REPAIRS WITH EPOXY RESIN
David Johnson, Sales Director/Technical Operations Manager, Wessex Resins and Adhesives Ltd. David needs no introduction to YDSA members and his talk will do what it says on the tin!
15.30 OVER 24M - A NATURAL PROGRESSION FOR THE YDSA
Robert Elliott FYDSA, Ell Yachts, based in Athens, and Chairman of the new YDSA Large Yacht Group, will consider how a surveyor approaches the survey of an over 24m vessel and together with Tony Tucker FYDSA will discuss what is different to an under 24m vessel.
