Aqueduct Marina celebrates ten years
The team at Aqueduct Marina has celebrated ten years of operation at its boat show.
This year’s event, aimed at the inland waterway community, expanded on 2018’s show and featured 30 exhibitors from a range of sectors including boat builders, boat share businesses and manufacturers and retailers of equipment such as solar panels, boat chandlery and equipment.
”I'd like to thank our staff, who worked hard to put on the show," said Robert Parton, Aqueduct Marina MD. "We look forward to seeing everyone again at next year's Aqueduct Boat show, or beforehand if, between us, we have persuaded a few visitors to go ahead and join the inland boating community."
Boats old and new
Boats were the focus of the event with new boats on show from Knights Narrowboats, Elton Moss boat builders and Breyzal Boats together with 15 used narrowboats in the brokerage section. After a day spent looking around the marina, the event was rounded off by a performance from an Elvis Presley tribute act.
One of the main aims of the event was to provide canal boat owners and would-be boat owners, an opportunity to visit a boat show north of Birmingham. Money raised during the show will go to Aqueduct’s chosen charity, the British Heart Foundation.
Next year's event will take place on July 11.
