Michigan Marine Propulsion International (MMP) will show its Canal Line product range at the Crick Boat Show.

The company designs, manufactures and supplies inboard and outboard propellers, stern gear packages and propulsion accessories from its Devon-based headquarters.

“Propellers on boats using inland waterways operate in a particularly harsh environment,” says Kate Munro, MMP marketing co-ordinator. “We developed the Canal Line to be more robust and with a propeller design that ensures canal and inland waterway boaters get a smoother experience when motoring.”

The Canal Line range of propellers are designed with extra thickness at the propeller edge and tip to provide greater resistance to impact damage.

The skew design profile reduces vibration, while the high-definition anti-singing edge eliminates vortex-induced noise.

In addition to off-the-shelf propeller production, MMP produces fully customised made-to-order propellers from 250mm to 2600mm.

The company’s manufacturing facilities use CAD-CAM and CNC technology with flow modelling software to predict and control the pour of molten metal in production process. This ensures repeatable high tolerance production across the entire range.

MMP’s facilities include propeller refurbishment and repair service and next day delivery service for standard size propellers.
