Tourism awards for Norfolk boatyard

Richardson’s Cruisers has been pronounced Best in Britain by UK holiday company Hoseasons.
The boatyard was also crowned Boating in Britain winner at the 13th annual gala awards, held in Newport in Wales. The company’s 65-year business relationship with Hoseasons was also honoured.
“This is fantastic news,” said Greg Munford, Richardson’s Cruisers’ chief executive.
“The success of our business is ultimately dependent on how holidaymakers feel about their stay with us, so receiving an award based on the strength of our customer satisfaction scores is particularly pleasing.”
Boating roots
Richardson’s has retained its boating roots with a motor cruiser rental business based in Stalham, in the Broads National Park and currently has around 300 inland cruisers available for hire with three next generation cruisers being introduced every year.
The evening was also a success for Richardson’s holiday site, Hemsby Beach Holiday Park winning Best Large Relax and Explore destination in East of England.
The company has recently invested £10m in the park with 140 new accommodation units including five new lodges, a new entertainment complex with a restaurant, indoor and outdoor play areas and 400-seat show bar.
