5 Gold Anchor award for Mayflower Marina
Plymouth’s Mayflower Marina has retained its 5 Gold Anchor award from The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA).
The accolade has been given for a high standard of facilities, commitment to customer service excellence and operational competence.
Jon White, general manager of TYHA, said: “I am very pleased to confirm that the marina and the team of professionals that run it have again achieved our highest accreditation level of 5 Gold Anchors.
“The Gold Anchor scheme utilises expert assessors to evaluate marinas against an exacting standard which considers all operational, facility and customer service aspects of running a modern marina.
“The assessment also gains feedback directly from customers and utilises a mystery shop process to gain valuable insights into the customers experience delivered.”
The externally assessed accreditation was confirmed on 30th May after an extensive review of the marina by TYHA inspectors.
Only 106 marinas in the world have achieved 5 Gold Anchor status.
Mayflower Marina has 396 berths and is independently operated and owned by shareholders, most of whom are current berth holders. Facilities include secure parking, fuel, boatyard services, laundry, luxury family bathrooms, free WiFi, chandlery and a bistro restaurant.
