Oyster Yachts has appointed Peter Hamlyn as chief operations officer.

Peter brings more than 30 years of experience, manufacturing and management expertise to the yacht builder, having held senior operations roles at both Princess Yachts where he started his career as a shipwright and progressed through the company to the executive team, and Fairline Yachts.

“We’re extremely excited to welcome Peter to the team,” said Richard Hadida, CEO and owner of Oyster Yachts. “He brings a rare blend of hands-on, practical and managerial experience having started on the factory floor and worked his way up to board level.”

Peter added: “Manufacturing high quality yachts involves understanding the development of modern technology and processes, with the appreciation of traditional craft and highly skilled craftspeople.

“We will exploit new technology to compliment artisan skills, so we can deliver exciting product improvements, alongside timely and profitable production of the world’s finest quality bluewater cruising yacht.”
