Makefast sets up new superyacht division
Makefast has created a new division to cater for an increased presence in the superyacht market.
Custom Marine Developments is headed by long-serving Makefast employees Jack Miller on the sales and commercial side and Stuart Bowen on the design and technical side.
CMD will operate from a newly purchased 700m² facility in Mid-Wales near to Makefast’s headquarters and will exclusively supply luxury superyacht tender builders, superyacht projects and other custom developments.
The site will also house a newly acquired precision engineering company – Precision Engineer with the acquisition allowing CMD to quickly produce and develop solutions.
“CMD’s new facility will enable Makefast to cement its place as the premier supplier to superyacht tender builders, as well as develop its superyacht business,” explained Jack. “CMD works closely with many leading superyacht design houses, superyacht management services, as well as boatyards to provide innovative engineered solutions to realise any client's imagination.
“Each solution is designed, engineered, manufactured and serviced to the highest levels.”
Makefast – headed by CEO Richard Jones - currently employs more than 100 people across three sites.
